Chakra of Life- the metaphysical origin

What is the philosophy behind Chakra of Life?

Our body is a highly evolved machine which has adapted itself through ages. It is also composed of wheels or Chakras. There are many chakras in our body, the most important are the seven arranged in the center of the body, parallel to the spinal chord. The alignment of these wheels is also important as it regulates the energy flow of the body.

Chakra of Life, recognizes the importance of the three parts of the wheel, the hub, the spokes, the rim. It derives its essence from the Dharmachakra, the wheel of Dharma. The Buddha has said to set the wheel of Dharma in motion when he delivered his first sermon. The Chakra also depicts the rotation of seasons and various moods and emotions of humans.

The hub in Chakra of Life is composed of three sections denoting, The Dharma, The Buddha, and The Sangha. It symbolizes wisdom.

The Spokes, eight in number stand for the eight-fold path, if ten in number they signify ten directions, and twelve means twelve links of dependent origin.

The rim represents concentration and is the part which holds the wheel together.

A perfect alignment of the parts of the wheel denotes the various spiritual aspects of our life coming together in harmony. This artistic forms carves beautiful wheel on paper through special tools and artistically brings out the union of various aspects of our life. It signifies our growth and movement in all aspects.
