What is a Chakra?
Since ancient times, the discovery of wheel has been one of utmost significance for humankind. While a wheel is a mechanical device, it also has philosophical and metaphysical correlations, and some of them are rather intriguing.
As we progressed from stone age to copper age to bronze age, the wheels started taking shape from stone to metal. and with it the artistic skills of humans also evolved. One of the ancient and very famous temple of India, The Konark Temple is one such beautifully sculptured temple.
In the 13th century was built the temple for the Sun God, the Konark temple in Odisha. While it is adorned with various sculptures of idols, the most breathtaking work is visible in the wheels of the chariot. If used in a particular way, they can tell the time accurate to the second of the watch.
The main parts of the wheel are, Hub, Spokes and the Rim. The wire and the tire came in as the metal and rubber was invented. As the wheel got incorporated into a vehicle, alignment became of utmost importance. In order to reduce the wear and tear of the vehicle, the wheel should be aligned true and straight. The wheel is also a symbol of symmetry, the parts are symmetrical and aligned with each other in perfect synchrony.
